The Never Ending Bucket List
I will be updating this post as new things keep catching my interest. I will probably never stop updating it, but I’m okay with that. Here it goes: The red strikethrough items are things I completed already.
- Live in another country for at least 1 year.
- Buy a van and do a coast to coast trip.
- Visit Niagara Falls.
- Scuba Dive in an exotic location.
- Compete in a triathlon.
Go fishing in the ocean.- Ride a hot air balloon.
- Swim with sharks in the Bahamas.
- Visit the Amazon Rain Forest.
- Visit the Seven Natural Wonders of the World (
Grand Canyon, The Great Barrier Reef, The Harbor at Rio de Janeiro, Mt. Everest, Northern Lights, Paricutin Volcano, Victoria Falls). - Visit the new Seven Wonder of the World (
Chichen Itza, Christ Redeemer, The Great Wall, Machu Picchu, Petra, The Roman Colosseum, The Taj Mahal). - Go to a World Cup and Olympics.
- Ziplining through the Costa Rican rainforest.
- Hike active Volcanoes in Guatemala.
Skydiving.- Chase a tornado in the Midwest.
- Donate blood (phobia of needles).
- Hike the Appalachian Trail (thru-hike).
- Write a blog for at least one year.
- Watch a professional sumo wrestling match in Japan.
- Go to Cuba and bring back authentic Cuban cigars and smoke them with a good friend.
- Attend a Super Bowl (let’s go Colts!).
- Visit every state in the US and get a picture with their respective “welcome to” sign. .
- Drink a cold beer at Oktoberfest.
- Don’t get a haircut for one year.
To be continued…
Great list, good luck!

This week I’m packing for a trip to New Zealand. My GF lives there and shes lured me there with culinary schools.
I’ve been reading about you wanting to live in a van for a year and going coast to coast. I’ve done it and its pretty interesting as well as fun..I followed renn fairs gem and mineral shows and stayed at free camp rounds, on state lands and BLM.. it can be pretty comfortable and interesting.

Take a camera.. the west coast is amazing, or was at the time.. sites could be had so close to the ocean you could feel the surf pounding at night… As far as NZ goes it’s a three month stay.. they have plans aside from chef stuff and letting me scavenge the country for food.. The set for the Hobbit wasn’t torn down and is a tourist thing now, so they want me to see it… plus she wants me to try some movie stuff… it seems there’s a call for old guys with south-western, accents.. Then there’s diving and what not.. showing her son how to hone a straight razor and random stuff..

Thank you so much for following my blog! I’m so glad I found you and your bucket list. Excited for future posts. In terms of #4, I would HIGHLY recommend the Philippines. It’s where I got my PADI training and it’s absolutely incredible. If you are able to dive there in January, you might even catch the whale shark migration. Either way, I think it rivals the Great Barrier Reef with less populated dives. Can’t wait to read more!

Donate blood. Yes, do that! That is a good thing. How about adding some “bucket list items” that includes helping others. “Go to Africa and help feed the children.” “Go to a large city and hand out sandwiches to the homeless people.” Get my drift? :o) I guarantee you if you included helping others in your bucket list, at the end of your life you will have lived well.

There is going to be a day that I won’t be afraid and walk away from the donation center 😀
I already do that. I’m a part of Three Square Food Bank. There is no need for me to go to Africa. Sadly we hit a record of homeless adults and kids here in Las Vegas.

I like lists. Lots of power in writing a bucket list. I have one somewhere. Regarding #17: My needle phobia got better after getting stuck a bunch during my two pregnancies, but I guess you can’t really do that. So here’s what I do now when I have to get a blood test: I distract myself by singing a song, doing multiplication in my head, or talk about the book I’m working on. I admire your courage in putting donating blood on your list. Thanks for following me at “Anything is Possible.”

I used to think that Niagara Falls was a great cliche (where is the accent mark that is supposed to go over the e? It is not on my keyboard.) – until I visited the Falls.
They are so cool. The view from the Canadian side is spectacular, and the boat ride was really worth it (and I do not like tourist rides). On the American side you can get really close to the top of the falls, and there are great parks.
Your list sounds cool!
